The Central European low cost carrier Sky Europe is looking for a capital injection of EUR20-30 million before the end of 2008.

Inevitably, despite running short of capital, the airline is trying to remain upbeat.

Quote:
Jason Bitter, chief executive of SkyEurope [...] still believes that the airline could make a profit next year.

The budget carrier, which operates 15 aircraft and carried 3.7m passengers over the past 12 months, is quoted at 12-1 by bookmaker Paddy Power as the next airline to go bust.
