|
|
Not your usual budget destination, but our friends have suddenly decided to get married in Las Vegas on 22nd March and we would like to attend if remotely possible. Since it is Easter weekend and less than a month until travel I suspect there is little in the way of budget flights available, but we've got to give it a shot
We would ideally like to fly out on Thursday 20th night or Friday 21st from London and be back to the UK in time for work on Tuesday 25th. Anything around those dates that is significantly cheaper would also be okay.
Does anyone have any suggestions about which airlines to try/where to look for the best deals?
Thanks very much in advance! |

Not too many options, regrettably.
Here's one:
Virgin Atlantic
Tuesday, March 18th
10:45 Depart London Gatwick Airport
14:30 Arrive Las Vegas (McCarran International Airport)
Tuesday, March 25th
17:00 Depart Las Vegas (McCarran International Airport)
09:50 Arrive London Gatwick Airport + 1 day (ie. Wednesday, March 26th)
Round-trip Fare including taxes: GBP 485 per person
If you fly out at exactly the same time but on Friday, March 21st instead of on the Tuesday, the total comes to GBP 580 per person. (That still leaves you arriving back in London on the morning of Wednesday 26th, though).
I know that looks expensive, but I checked what British Airways had available and BA's flights to Vegas were even dearer. |

Thanks for your help. I think it's going to be too expensive, unfortunately. The trouble is that I'm also starting a new job that week, and I think it would look bad to take too many days off |

You know the guys and girls over at Airhitch are always there to give you a hand?
They specialise in saving budget travellers money on transatlantic travel and they might well be able to find something better for you than we can here.
However, it's worth noting that Airhitch requires the ultimate in flexibility and so, there's no guarantee that you would arrive in time for the wedding.
Worth checking out, even so, I would think. |
