Hi,

Just wondering, apart from Oasis that flies from HK, are there any other budget arilines that fly from China to Europe?

I have found Air Berlin which goes from Beijing but their prices are twice the price of Oasis.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give Smile

Air Berlin and Oasis are, unfortunately, the only two options right now. And you're right - the fares of the Hong Kong based airline are a lot more attractive than those the German airline is currently offering.

With luck, as LTU's former operations become more tightly integrated with Air Berlin's core operations we'll see the Beijing-Dusseldorf and Shanghai-Dusseldorf flights becoming cheaper.

Viva Macau has long planned the introduction of long haul low cost flights to Europe, but the airline can't seem to sort out its East Asian routes at this point, so don't hold your breath.

One option which probably will become a reality in 2008 will be flying from China to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on Air Asia and then flying onwards on Air Asia X to one of several European destinations - at the moment there is talk of London Luton, Manchester and Cologne Bonn in Germany.

No problem. That's really the aim of the attitude Travel site - to help you get your hands on budget travel information which can otherwise be fairly tricky to get hold of.

Do keep an eye on the following low cost airline guides:

Hong Kong Low Cost Airlines Guide

Macau Low Cost Airlines Guide

China Low Cost Airlines Guide

I'm in Macau right now and crossing the Pearl River Delta to Hong Kong tomorrow, but just as soon as I get the time - either this week or next - I'm going to roll-out a massive update of all the Asian low cost airline guides on attitude Travel.
