Ive been looking for either a flight to Dubrovik from Krakow, just found crazy prices, I wanna be there on Thursday, and the only affordable flight is on Tuesdays.
I am flexible I wouldn't mind travel around by train, but there are not train station in Dubrovik, other choice i'd be cross Bosnia.
The only thing i dont wanna do is going to the other places in Croatia, because Im going after that anyway.
So, Any sugguestions please??
any other countries close by?! and direct trains or buses??
Thank You!! |

As you note, the cheapest way to get from Krakow to Dubrovnik is to fly direct between the two cities on a Tuesday with Centralwings.
Is it possible to fly low cost from Krakow or Katowice to Bosnia?
No.
Is it possible to fly low cost from Krakow or Katowice to Montenegro?
No.
Is it possible to fly low cost from Krakow or Katowice to somewhere else in Croatia?
No.
Is it possible to fly low cost from Krakow or Katowice to the Adriatic coast of Italy (and then take a night ferry across the Adriatic to Dubrovnik)?
No, but even if it were, it would add up to quite a lot once you included the cost of the night ferry.
Is it possible to avoid flying and travel by train and coach, combined?
Yes, once per day, you can take a 5 hour train from Krakow-Breclav in the Czech Republic (departing at 07:00 in the morning and arriving at 12:14) and then take a second train (departing at 12:20, so you've only got six minutes to find it!) which completes the journey from Breclav to Split in another seventeen and a half hours (!) Once you are in Split (you'll arrive at 05:54 in the morning), there are regular buses to Dubrovnik. |

If you're travelling with someone else and want to make an adventure out of it, the train might be an option (depending on how much the ticket costs - you'll have to ask at Krakow Glowny because the Deutsche Bahn website doesn't give fares for routes outside Germany).
But otherwise your only other option is to take two low cost flights - one from Krakow to an intermediate destination (probably in Germany or the UK) and a second one to Dubrovnik. That will still be a lot cheaper than flying from Krakow to Dubrovnik on one of the major European flag-carriers like Austrian Airlines but it won't be anything like as cheap as a straightforward, direct budget flight on Centralwings .
I know you don't want to fly on a Tuesday but Centralwings really is your best option by quite some distance. |

Let me know if you want me to check out low cost connecting flights for you.
Just off the top of my head, I know that easyJet flies from Krakow to London Gatwick and Bristol in the UK and then from both those cities to Split in Croatia. |

Well, I have looked for connecting flight, but price is between £300-£700
Ive booked a cheap flight london gatwich-split for wednesday, but i though i'd rather lose it and go to croatia from there (krakow)
So either way, or fly back to london from krakow and use my tkt to split (flying in the same day).
or get to Dubrovnik 3 days before my plans!
Thanks for you help |
