Jet Airways' new budget subsidiary (formerly Air Sahara, now renamed JetLite) plans to commence operating low fare flights from India to Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates; to Muscat in Oman; to Manama in Bahrain, and to Doha in Qatar in the first quarter of 2008.

The route network expansion will put JetLite in competition against Air India Express as well as against Sharjah-based Air Arabia and Kuwait and Dubai-based Jazeera Airways.
