What on earth is going on with the ticket prices, Bangkok to London. I am looking for a one-way or a six month ticket next year and the prices seem to have shot up and are now much higher than traveling the other way (LON-BKK).
If anyone has any ideas on how to get a reasonable deal I would be very grateful. |

| AirAsiaX are supposed to be starting flights to UK from Kuala Lumpur in March. It might be worth waiting until those flights are available to book and fly to UK with AirAsia via Malaysia. |

Assuming Air Asia X commences its KL-London route on schedule, I agree with Konangrit.
Now that more people than ever are looking to save where they can, it's a real shame that earlier this year Oasis Hong Kong's investors lost confidence in the idea of an intercontinental low cost carrier flying between Asia and Europe - otherwise it would have been relatively straightforward and cheap for you to have flown from Bangkok to Hong Kong on Air Asia and then on to London Gatwick on Oasis.
As things stand at present, there are few fares as low as the cheapest which could be found in 2007-2008 - though that may change when Air Asia X takes off for London. Nevertheless, you still have some options to consider.

For example, right now, Condor has the following one-way flights at the beginning of April 2009:
Phuket to Frankfurt am Main for EUR 397 (GBP 324) including taxes.
What's the best one-way fare you have found so far, pmccoo? |
