Ok, so im looking to get from Australia (pref Sydney) into Europe (doesn't matter where because I will be traveling all over) and have run into some problems trying to get budget fares.
Its pretty easy to get from Sydney to Singapore/Kuala Lumpur/ or Bangkok at little cost, but getting from southeast asia into Europe seems to be tricky.
Are there any low cost airlines that operate from southeast asia into Europe? Or am i going down completely the wrong path. |

Not at present.
Oasis operated a low fare route from Hong Kong to London Gatwick until the beginning of April 2008, but this pioneer airline has now failed.
The next contender will be Air Asia X which intends to start operating low fare routes from Kuala Lumpur to London and Manchester in the UK towards the end of 2008 or during the first quarter of 2009. _________________ Alan Lansdowne

It's possible if you're willing to take several short haul flights.
From Singapore to India with Tiger Airways. From India to Istanbul, Turkey via UAE with Air Arabia. Several European budget airlines fly to Istanbul including EasyJet. I'm not sure that you'd actually end up saving any money this way, but it might be worth it if you'd like to stop off in any of those destinations. |

Note that in addition to flying to Western Europe from Istanbul SAW, easyJet now also flies to the UK from:
i) Paphos on the island of Cyprus
ii) Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt
iii) Hurghada in Egypt
Air Arabia flies from India to the UAE and then on to both Turkey and Egypt.
Jazeera Airways flies from India to both the UAE and Kuwait and then from both of these Gulf States to Turkey, Egypt and Cyprus. _________________ Alan Lansdowne

I suggest you check out Gulf Air (from KUL or BKK) or Air Berlin from BKK to european destinations.
Check it out on their resp. websites rather than through Orbitz/Travelocity/Expedia/etc. ! ! ! |
